Natasha Santaella, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida International University in Miami, Florida, and her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida.
 
Ms. Santaella began her professional career in education. She has over 12 years of experience working with children and their families in the roles of K-8 teacher and high school guidance counselor.
 
As a mental health counselor, Ms. Santaella has worked with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, PTSD, parenting, relationship issues, personality disorders, among other issues. Most recently, she has counseled survivors of sexual and physical abuse at the Children’s Advocacy Center in Fort Myers, Florida. Additionally, Ms. Santaella has provided psychoeducation and therapy for at-risk youth. She has assisted parents of children requiring learning accommodations to succeed academically and provided trauma-informed caregiver support for parents of survivors of abuse. Ms. Santaella also works closely with other women to empower them before and after childbirth in the area of maternal mental health.
 
Ms. Santaella incorporates a cognitive behavioral and solution focused therapy approach, while encouraging mindfulness and self-care. She is empathetic and compassionate, and is passionate about helping others reach self-fulfillment and authenticity in order to enhance the overall quality of their lives. Ms. Santaella is fluent in English and Spanish, and able to provide therapy in both languages.
